Sloppy

I don’t consider this the first snow of the season.

First snows are slow, dreamy, and coat the trees with a lovely blanket that muffles the noise of the world. This was none of that. It was sloppy, slippery, and generally unpleasant.

I’ll let you know when the true first snow arrives.
