The Beginning
The sketchbook for the And Hope Glimmers series began with an October 2022 vacation in Northern Michigan, a box of collage papers, a variety of magazines, a glue stick, and some drawing utensils.
On the very first page the color palette emerged. The colors of the Leelanau Peninsula in the fall.
The grid squares are the perfect way to work out colors and placement. Mini versions of larger possibilities.
Colors used are Payne’s Gray, Yellow Ochre, Titan Buff, Burnt Sienna and Titanium White.
