18” X 24”
I have tried the Gessobord panels in 12” X 12” not sure how I like this big as a flat panel.
Layer 1. It is all about collage. I love using sewing patterns and layering over other collage. More Gelli printed paper used in this one.
Layer 2. Graphite Mark Making. So many leading lines in this, that makes my heart happy.
Layer 3. UGH! Pretty much unhappy with everything about this one.
First of all the board has warped some, so it doesn’t lay flat. Hard to paint on, even harder to photograph.
Second, used the too fast drying fluid acrylics alone with this, and then switched to heavy body acrylics. Keeping with my colors of Manganese Blue, Burnt Sienna, Titianium White, and Ivory Black. I don’t like the HAPPY colors., or the thick paint.
This board may get replaced sooner rather than later, probably with a 18” X 24” wood panel. And this may become a test board.
Layer 4. Mentally I have already given up on this one. The warping is so bothersome to me.
I ordered four more 18” X 18” wood panels this week, once those arrive those will replace this one and this one will be carried no farther. I couldn’t get 18” X 24” wood panels until December, so decided to go with the square, and I have concluded I prefer working on the cradled panels as opposed to flat panels or paper.
